Best Month to Visit

October to March is considered to be the best time to visit Dubai, as temperatures are pleasant and there is plenty to look forward to including events and activities like the Moto Show in October, Dubai Shopping Festival in December, art and light exhibition and so much more.

Dubai’s desert climate means warm, hot and sunny conditions all year round. Whilst the summer months reach a scorching average of 30-40°C, the winter months are a balmy 20-30°C, the ideal weather to explore the city and desert and all that they have to offer.

Dubai is perfect for British travellers looking to get away for some much needed winter sun. Whether it’s during the school holidays with the kids or a couple’s break from work, or just some much needed TLC with friends, here’s our Dubai winter sun guide to suit all your guests’ holiday needs.

October

The start of the month is still extremely hot, but as the month goes on, humidity drops and guests can expect temperatures of 25-35°C, with sea temperatures at a very warm 30°C. October marks the beginning of peak season in Dubai. Bear in mind that hotel and accommodation prices as well as transportation will increase to suit demand.

November

One of the best times to visit Dubai, just before the busy Christmas period.  The weather is a warm 25°C, while sea temperature a delightful 27°C. Diwali celebrations bring all sorts of shopping deals, quirky pop-up stalls, and live performances across the city. Don’t miss the incredible firework display over the city!

December

One of the most popular times of the year to visit Dubai as the weather is pleasantly warm with an average of 21°C. A light jacket is needed for the cooler evenings. December brings glorious weather and wonderful Christmas festivities and New Years Eve celebrations, with plenty of activities and events throughout the city as well as delicious festive brunches which are a must!

December is a popular time to visit meaning it’s a busier period to go, but is also worth it for the celebrations.

January

Shortly after the New Years Celebrations, Dubai starts to set in with its coolest temperatures with a (still warm) highest of 23°C, and the crowds begin to fall. A high possibility of rain is expected in January, but a very small amount over an average of two days of the month.

The days are still warm enough to relax and enjoy the water or hit up a favourite attraction and the Dubai Shopping Festival.

February

Temperatures begin to rise again to 26°C during one of the most popular months for tourism. A great time to visit as evenings remain cool and the heat is manageable.

February presents cheaper hotels on average than the previous winter months. The perfect time for golf and tennis enthusiasts to visit with the Dubai Tennis Championships and Omega Desert Classic.

March

An increased humidity with 8 hours of sunshine a day, signalling the end of the winter months before summer arrives in Dubai. Sea temperatures begin to warm and the average daytime high is 29°C.

A must-do in March is the Dubai Food Festival .
